In a nationwide crackdown on street crime, Delhi Police has arrested 57 criminals on Sunday 7th of June alone. Due to an increase of criminal activities snatching, burglaries, and robberies that had suddenly increased during the COVID lockdown period. Among them was a group that had stolen over a hundred mobile phones in a couple of weeks.

Delhi Police spokesperson ‘Mandeep Singh Randhawa’ said that most of the criminals who were involved in the increase of criminal activities like robberies, theft, or snatching caught during the crackdown.
