Built-in 1901, Ujjayanta Palace used to be a royal palace. Now turned into a museum. Built by King Radha Kishore Manikya of the Manikya dynasty. Situated on the banks of a little lake and is flanked by beautiful Mughal gardens. This museum has 22 galleries that have an eclectic collection of art. Such as sculptures, figurines, terracotta, etc. They reflect the rich culture and tradition of the north-eastern states of India. This palace remains open for visitors from 10 am to 5 pm while it is closed on Mondays.

Durga Puja is always associated with Kolkata and West Bengal, Tripura. It also happens to be a state that celebrates Durga Puja with full joy. During Durga Puja, Agartala sees beautiful Durga Puja pandals. Here the expertise and talent of the local artist’s is shown. Visit Tripura during October-November to witness their beautiful Durga Puja celebrations.
Unakoti, a popular heritage site. Protected under the Archaeological Survey of India. You can find innumerable beautiful rock-cut carvings. Meaning “one less than a crore”. These carvings date back to the 7th to 9th centuries. They look glorious on the patch of the green background. It is certainly a must-visit in Tripura and can be visited at any time of the day.
